Matrix Question Type
A Matrix question is just like a rating question except that you can ask more than one question, by using each question as a row choice. Each row can be attributes or questions to rate while the columns are the ratings based on a common scale (e.g. "Where 1 is 'not at all important' and "10 is 'very important.' ").
You can assign weights to each answer choice. Matrix questions automatically calculate a weighted average for each answer choice in the results section. You can choose to not use weights.
When To Use It
When you want to rate or see how well ideas or concepts might be or have been received by your audience.
(e.g. On a scale of 1-10 how would you rate the following?: Front desk staff, Our full suite prices, Room cleanliness)
Options and Settings
For this question you can choose the following:
Results will include the response counts per each column and row with a resulting bar chart. If weights were used a weighted average for each row will also be computed. You can change the value of weights at any time in the survey creation page.
Individual results (displayed as a spreadsheet) will display the rows as column headers and the respondent's answer/rating below that.
If the "other with comment field" option is marked, results will also include these comments.
